Past From the Blast Entry 1

The flyers are in and we are rollin.  Five Pieces total are finished for the show and I am chugging right along on the installation!!!  It is going to be amazing!  Here is the work I have completed for the show, I might go back into Story Time a touch but as of now I feel it is done, and that it is time to move on and let its loose feel speak for itself. Also some step by step images of the large piece are in here as well as stage on of the structure and random pieces of debris for the installation, thanks a million to Terry and Regan for  hooking up the work space, Big Up!… more to come!

Finally the Page for Unstoppable Tomorrow Vol.1 at Old Crow is Finished

So I found a bunch of photos I had forgotten that I had taken a while ago, and they are really nice so I redid the page for the most recent show, Unstoppable Tomorrow Vol.1, at Old Crow.  Just click on the page “Unstoppable Tomorrow Vol.1 /Paintings & Installation 2010” to the right or left and check it out.  Super proud of this one.  I’d love to hear feedback on this.  On to the next One, Queens Nails March 3rd.  Here are some random photos from the set in the page.

See you next time.

New York Trip was Great, now back in S.F., just posted the page for Unstoppable Tomorrow Vol.1, and man is it warm here…

Always weird to me when I get back from New York.  Well here we go into March, I have some awesome new and recent paitnings going in the show, but now I am really stoked about the relics (see previous libraries and Babylon Falling Closing images).  Going out tonight to find some cool old pieces of material to do little neo-cave paintings on, also some new portraits are on the way, sketches are in the mix. the show is March 3rd and here is the flyer thus far

Really excited to see how it all comes together and and see these different bands use the space.

In other news the trip to New York was awesome, I wanna give a shout out to Quinn, sorry i missed you dude, and big ups to Ninjasonik, George, Kareem, Voodo, Dingo and Darby, Joe and Liza for the ill Jesus Piece, Mikey, Desert Island, Chris Aki Bisco Belly and all the Prattfiliates, Petey Weet, Etzi, Benny D, of course Miss Anna Ngo, Clinton Hill, Ft. It’s on, get ready SF!!!  I leave you with an image I just created for my birthday, I did always think that Skeletor was the shit so…

Back in Brooklyn! Snowstorm, Good Food, and Awesome People!

So I am back in New York right now, and damn it feels good.  I remember why I lived here so long and continually get home sick in California.  Landed before the snowstorm last night and, then braved the sideways wind proppelled giant white snowflakes to get to my favorite place possibly in the world, Yakitori Taisho.  Some pork belly, okonamyaki, fish cakes with cheese, and chicken meatballs later, it was time to get back to the train and head back to our rest!!!  All in all a great day of travel and immersion. Feels good to be home!  Here are some randome photos I have been meaning to post, of everything from a bust stop in San Francisco that got annihilated by a Muni Driver, to the images of Old Crow post Unstoppable Tomorrow, to bathroom graffiti at Taisho.  Life is good!

And Unstoppable Tomorrow is official done!!! Thanks to everyone who was a part, it was a spectacular happening!! Hi 2011!

Saturday It’s a Saturday!

Today is turning out to be a very productive, fun, and satisfying day.  Off to New York next week so trying to get some new paintings in full swing and finish some design work for my day job.  The dates have changed a little for March’s show, and I will have the final flyer when I return from the Big Apple, along with some prints and some new music!  Gonna be a great trip and can’t wait for real pizza mane!  Here are some i phone photos of three pieces I have in the works right nowOne of which is pretty much done, one of which is almost there, and one of which I just started.  Pretty happy with the progress!  I am also going ot have series of relics much like I had in the Babylon Falling closing show a couple years ago.  I’ll be sure to update you all from my travels!

2011 Has Arrived!!! Past From the Blast is Coming…

So today was beautiful day. Brunch with my lady, saw friends, and got into Queens Nails to measure and photograph and am very excited to announce that the press release for Past From the Blast on march 4th is almost finished and the PR launch will begin soon. The work is coming along really well, and I will even be having some poster prints, and pasteable images for the public by the middle of this month. Also I am happy to announce that I will be working with some members of ATA on some upcoming projects and of course will be delving a bit deeper into the music side things. Life is busy and good! Here is an in progress image of the centerpiece for the larger works in the show, more images of the smaller color pieces to come, and of course by the middle of January I will have images of the installation in progress. Things are cooking!
